报告摘要：Given an abstract Hilbert space operator $T$, a functional model for it is another operator $M$ acting on a space of functions which is essentially the same as $T$. If one can construct a model with a simple form, then it is possible to tackle questions on $T$ using tools from complex analysis. The spectral theorem (in its general version given by von Neumann in the 1930's) exhibits the power of this technique: this cornerstone result in functional analysis permits to understand normal operators.I will give an overview on the Sz.-Nagy--Foias model, and present new results in this direction obtained recently. 

报告人简介：Bello博士是一名非常优秀的年轻数学研究人员，他于2020年博士毕业于西班牙马德里自治大学，现在波兰科学院担任副教授。他发表论文多篇，并获得2009年第五十届数学奥林匹克竞赛铜牌.
